I’m a new yoga teacher, I haven’t filed for a business license as an ind. contractor yet how do I pay taxes?

I thought I wouldn;t have to file unless I made more than 400 a month (someone gave me false info, and I believed them, my fault). I made just over 600 last year and have received a tax form from the studio. I;m in California, can I file for a business license retroactively? I was also an employee of an insurance company for half the year and paid taxes every pay period, will that make a difference?Thanks!

Do you think my friend will actually buy me a car?

me and my friend have been best friends for 16 years this year. we are 28 and 29.when she was 19, her grandpa died and left her alot of money, she put 40k down on her house. at 26, she lost her house while her husband was in the army, and they refused payment from her. even though she was on the mortgage. they called a month ago, and admitted to stealing her house, and will be giving her 70k for stealing the house within 2 weeks.when i was 24, i was pregnant with my 4th kid, and my husband died into a tragic car accident. he had a life insurance policy and i got 87k. i bought a house out of our city, 70 miles away, for 80k (foreclosed) and furniture, i had a regular minivan.now that im 29, my minivans transmission is going out, and the door handle fell off, and i cant afford to fix it and me and the kids put around town barely making it. the automatic locks keep going off and on, and it traps us in the van. so we resorted to walking around town to get our groceries. since i get s.s for the kids, i do not work and have only worked afew years of my life. i have no credit because i always bought things in cash.she said she would give me 5000 for a car when her money comes through for being a good friend and there for her when she lost her house and everything she knew. i told her id only want 2000 if you insist on giving me some money. and i have 1000 saved for a car. do you think she;ll really give me the 2000 for a new car??

Person hit my parked car now their insurance is giving me the run around?

Back in October my parked car, I had just bought that wasn;t plated as it was going to have some work done a few weeks later, was hit late at night. In the morning when I noticed the damage I called and made a police report. The van that hit my car was still in the parking lot of our complex and with the police was able to match up the damage done to his paint chips on my car. The guy did a lot of damage and having first tried to deny he did it, later admitted to after the police contacted his boss, the actual owner of the vehicle. The police called a few days later with the owners insurance information. As the car was just purchased and headed to the shop for some engine work it wasn;t plated and therefore not on my insurance yet. Because of this I have to deal with the owners insurance agency rather than go through my own. I spoke to the insurance and they were going to get back to me to set up a time to have the damage assessed or to get the quotes I received. This was all back in late October. After the holidays I finally called the insurance back and asked what was going on and they said they needed to get more information to finish filing the claim and said I needed to purchase the police report and mail to them. My question is why must I get the police report and do the leg work when I was not the one who hit his car? Should the process be taking this long when the owner admitted fault? And now that my car cannot be put on the road till this is taken car of should they offer to pay for a rental? Had this never happened it would have been fixed and plated and insured and drivable long ago. Any information is appreciated.

Is there anywhere I can get 1 day learner insurance in the UK urgently ?
