Can I claim myself for 2011 instead of my parents?
I;m 23 years old, was a full time student from Jan.17 to May 13 and graduated college in May. I worked full time the entire year. I paid for my car loan, student loan, cell phone, clothes, car insurance, gas, and medical bills (i have my own health insurance and it is deducted from my paycheck). I would like to claim myself this year, is that allowed? I just want to avoid any future problems with the IRS in case of an audit.I mean file as independent…had to correct that…
What should I do about nose piercing…?
I;m a 19 year old girl and I live with my mom and grandmother. I wanted to get my nose pierced and my mom says I should do it. I told me grandmother and she flipped her ****. She;s a nurse and said that I can catch AIDS, hepatitis, etc. She said if I got it then she wouldn;t help me pay my car insurance ( I work but don;t make much plus I;m a student) and would make me take it out. My grandmother is a very controlling person with other things and is scared of everything. Should I let this blow over and in a few months get it done anyway?
An I covered under my moms insurance after I had a car accident? ?
Yesterday I was driving down the freeway on the carpool lane, there was an accident about 200 yd. in from t me so I gradually stopped. As I was stopping I saw the car behind me coming fast! So I knew I was gonna get hit, he slammed his breaks at the last minute and just totaled my moms brand new car. We made a report with the CHP, we both ha valid DL and insurance. So my mom calls her insurance and they are not covering the damages because she was conducting the automobile. Is this true in any accident? What insurance will have to pay? The car is brand new will they get her a new one? And I;m feeling a little pain today shod I get it checked? (I don;t have health insurance, I;m a college student). The automobile is totaled should she get a rental? And what exactly is GAP insurance she says she has that as well.Sorry for all the questions this is obviously my first accident anything would help and it;s deeply appreciated.
